The European Prostate Cancer Awareness Day (EPAD25) is a closed-door event, being held on Wednesday 3 September 2025 from 14:30 – 16:00 hours CET. If you would like to join us, please register your interest here. There will be almost three million new cases of prostate cancer a year by 2040 and the mortality rate is set to rise by 85% [1]. This meeting will bring together leading policymakers, medical experts, patient advocates, and stakeholders from across Europe to support the continued implementation and development of risk-based prostate cancer screening. Building on recent EU commitments — including adding prostate cancer to the updated Council Recommendation on cancer screening — we will explore how to encourage more people across the EU to take part in prostate cancer screenings. We’ll also explore recent developments from the pilot sites in the EU-funded PRAISE-U project, and the urgent need to improve care at every stage – from prevention to palliative care.
